Mission Statement

American Sounds has been created by individuals who have come together to organize a celebration of our country’s music. The year 2026 will mark 250 years of time during which the varied cultures that contribute to the United States have shared their musical heritage, contributed to a musical melting pot, and have created new musical genres that have enhanced our cultural expression and influenced and inspired the rest of the world. 

 

The organization plans to create a traveling event that will be produced to celebrate this musical history. In conjunction with the traveling production, the organization will reach out to regional areas to promote satellite events, including educational workshops and music performances that will feature the music of particular regions. 

 

The intention of this project is to educate, entertain, celebrate, and bring to life the soundtrack of our country’s unique and colorful history.
